I started doing a Sunday Reset.
Not some woo-woo journaling session. Not a planning marathon that takes three hours. A specific, structured 90-minute process that sets me up to absolutely dominate the week ahead.
And here’s the thing: this one shift made me $180,000 last year.
Not because I worked more hours. Not because I got better at my craft. But because I stopped wasting time on the wrong stuff and started spending my energy on the things that actually move the needle.
Today, I’m going to walk you through the exact Sunday Reset process I use every single week. You can knock it out tonight. And when you wake up Monday morning, you’ll know exactly what to do, exactly when to do it, and exactly why it matters.
Let’s get into it.

WHY MOST PLANNING DOESN’T WORK
Before I show you the system, let’s talk about why most weekly planning fails.
Most people sit down Sunday night (or Monday morning) and they make a to-do list. Long list. Everything they think they should do that week.
Then they try to execute the list. And by Wednesday, they’re buried. Half the stuff didn’t get done. New things popped up. Priorities shifted. And they’re right back in reactive mode.
The problem isn’t the list. The problem is that most people confuse activity with results.
They list out all the things they could do. But they don’t identify the things that actually matter. The things that generate revenue. The things that move the business forward.
So they spend all week checking boxes and making no real progress.
The Sunday Reset is different. It’s not about listing everything you need to do. It’s about identifying the three things that, if you get them done, will make the week a success no matter what else happens.
Three things. That’s it.
Everything else is noise.
THE 90-MINUTE SUNDAY RESET
Here’s the structure. Four blocks. 90 minutes total.
Block 1: Revenue Review (15 minutes) Block 2: Priority Identification (30 minutes) Block 3: Calendar Defense (30 minutes) Block 4: Energy Optimization (15 minutes)
Let me walk you through each one.
BLOCK 1: REVENUE REVIEW (15 minutes)
First thing you do is look at the numbers.
Not because you’re trying to beat yourself up about what didn’t happen. But because you need to understand where you actually are so you can figure out where to focus this week.
Here’s what you’re tracking:
Revenue this month vs. target. Are you on track? Behind? Ahead?
Pipeline value. How much is in active deals right now? What needs to close this week to hit your number?
Lead flow. How many new leads came in this week? Is that number trending up or down?
Client deliverables. What do you owe clients this week? Anything at risk?
You’re not doing a deep financial analysis. You’re just getting a clear picture of where the business stands right now.
Here’s how to do this in 15 minutes:
Step 1: Open your CRM, spreadsheet, or wherever you track deals. Write down total revenue for the month so far.
Step 2: Look at your pipeline. Write down the value of deals that could close this week.
Step 3: Check how many leads came in last week vs. the week before. Trending up or down?
Step 4: Look at your calendar and client list. What do you owe this week?
That’s it. 15 minutes. You’ve got a clear snapshot of where you stand.
Now you can make smart decisions about where to focus.
BLOCK 2: PRIORITY IDENTIFICATION (30 minutes)
This is the most important part of the whole process.
You’re going to identify your Three Critical Outcomes for the week.
Not tasks. Not to-dos. Outcomes.
An outcome is a specific, measurable result that moves the business forward. It’s not “work on website.” It’s “publish new homepage that clearly explains our offer and includes three case studies.”
It’s not “follow up with leads.” It’s “close two deals from current pipeline.”
It’s not “create content.” It’s “record and publish three LinkedIn posts that drive traffic to our lead magnet.”
See the difference?
Tasks are activities. Outcomes are results.
Your Three Critical Outcomes should meet these criteria:
If you get these three things done, the week is a success. Even if nothing else happens.
They directly impact revenue or pipeline. Not busy work. Not “nice to have” projects. Things that generate money or create opportunities to generate money.
They’re specific enough that you’ll know with 100% certainty whether you hit them or not. No ambiguity.
Here’s how to identify them in 30 minutes:
Step 1: Based on your Revenue Review, ask yourself: “What’s the biggest problem I need to solve this week?”
Could be: pipeline is thin and you need more leads. Could be: you’ve got three deals that need to close to hit your number. Could be: you’re behind on client deliverables and need to catch up before you can sell more.
Write down the problem.
Step 2: For that problem, what’s the one outcome that would solve it or make significant progress on it?
If you need more leads: “Generate 15 new qualified leads.” If you need to close deals: “Close two deals from current pipeline.” If you’re behind on delivery: “Complete and deliver Project X and Project Y.”
That’s your first Critical Outcome.
Step 3: Ask yourself: “What’s the next most important thing?”
This should be something that either supports the first outcome or addresses the next biggest priority. Could be content creation, system building, client outreach, whatever. Just make sure it’s outcome-focused, not task-focused.
That’s your second Critical Outcome.
Step 4: Ask yourself: “What’s one thing I’ve been avoiding that, if I did it this week, would make a real difference?”
This is often something strategic. Building a new offer. Fixing a broken process. Having a hard conversation. Reaching out to a big opportunity.
That’s your third Critical Outcome.
Write all three down. Big. Bold. Somewhere you’ll see them every day this week.
BLOCK 3: CALENDAR DEFENSE (30 minutes)
Now you’ve got your three outcomes. Next step is to protect the time you need to actually achieve them.
This is where most people fail. They know what they need to do. But they don’t block time to do it. So the week gets away from them.
Here’s what you’re going to do:
Step 1: Open your calendar for the week.
Step 2: For each Critical Outcome, block time to work on it. Minimum two hours per outcome. Could be one two-hour block or two one-hour blocks. But you need focused, uninterrupted time.
Label these blocks clearly. “Critical Outcome 1: Generate Leads.” Not just “work time.” Make it specific.
Step 3: Look at everything else on your calendar. Meetings. Calls. Appointments. Ask yourself: “Does this directly support one of my three Critical Outcomes?”
If yes, keep it.
If no, ask: “Can I cancel this, delegate it, or move it to next week?”
Be ruthless here. Your calendar should serve your outcomes, not the other way around.
Step 4: Add buffer blocks. These are 30-minute chunks between big blocks where you handle email, Slack, quick calls, and reactive stuff.
Without buffer blocks, you’ll try to squeeze reactive stuff into your Critical Outcome time. Then you won’t actually get the outcomes done.
Step 5: Schedule your Three Critical Outcome blocks as early in the week as possible. Don’t leave them for Friday. By Friday, you’re toast. Get them done Monday through Wednesday.
That’s 30 minutes. Your calendar is now optimized to actually achieve what matters.
BLOCK 4: ENERGY OPTIMIZATION (15 minutes)
Last piece. This one’s subtle but it makes a huge difference.
You’re going to look at your week and optimize for energy, not just time.
Here’s what I mean: not all hours are created equal. You’ve got high-energy hours where you’re sharp, focused, and productive. And you’ve got low-energy hours where you’re just going through the motions.
Most people waste their high-energy hours on low-value stuff. Email. Slack. Meetings. Random busywork.
Then they try to do their most important work when they’re already tired.
Backwards.
Here’s how to fix it in 15 minutes:
Step 1: Identify your high-energy hours. For most people, this is the first 2-3 hours after you wake up. Could be morning. Could be afternoon if you’re a night owl. Just figure out when you’re at your best.
Step 2: Look at your Three Critical Outcomes. Which one requires the most mental energy? Which one is hardest or most complex?
Step 3: Schedule that one during your high-energy hours. Protect that time like your life depends on it. No meetings. No calls. No interruptions.
Step 4: Look at your low-energy hours. Usually mid-afternoon or end of day. Schedule your low-brain-power stuff here. Email. Admin. Routine tasks.
Step 5: Add recovery blocks. If you’ve got a heavy day with back-to-back calls or intense work, block 30 minutes after for recovery. Walk. Coffee. Nothing. Just time to reset before the next thing.
That’s it. 15 minutes. You’ve just optimized your week for maximum energy and output.
PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
Let’s recap the 90-minute Sunday Reset:
Block 1 (15 min): Revenue Review. Where do you stand? What are the numbers?
Block 2 (30 min): Priority Identification. What are your Three Critical Outcomes for the week?
Block 3 (30 min): Calendar Defense. Block time for your outcomes. Protect that time. Cut everything that doesn’t support your outcomes.
Block 4 (15 min): Energy Optimization. Schedule your hardest work during your high-energy hours. Protect recovery time.
Total time: 90 minutes.
And when you’re done, you’ve got complete clarity. You know exactly what success looks like this week. You know when you’re working on each outcome. And you’ve optimized your schedule for actually getting it done.
WHY THIS MADE ME $180K
Let me show you the math.
Before I started doing the Sunday Reset, I’d say I had about 2-3 high-impact hours per week. Hours where I was actually working on things that generated revenue or moved the business forward.
The rest was just... noise. Email. Meetings. Busy work. Reacting to stuff.
After I started doing the Sunday Reset, I consistently got 10-15 high-impact hours per week. Because I knew what mattered, I blocked time for it, and I protected that time.
That’s 8-12 more high-impact hours per week. Let’s call it 10.
10 hours per week x 52 weeks = 520 high-impact hours per year.
In those 520 hours, I:
Closed 23 additional deals I wouldn’t have had time for otherwise. Built two new offers that generated $90K. Created content that generated 140+ new leads. Fixed broken systems that saved me 5 hours per week (which I then reinvested into more high-impact work).
The compounding effect of that was about $180K in additional revenue.
Not because I worked more. Because I worked on the right things at the right times.

Step 1: Block 90 minutes on your calendar right now. Label it “Sunday Reset.”
Step 2: Go through the four blocks. Revenue Review. Priority Identification. Calendar Defense. Energy Optimization.
Step 3: Write down your Three Critical Outcomes somewhere you’ll see them every day this week. On a sticky note. On your monitor. In your phone. Wherever.
Step 4: Look at your calendar for Monday. Do you have at least two hours blocked for Critical Outcome 1? If not, block it right now.
That’s it. 90 minutes tonight. And you’ll wake up Monday with complete clarity on exactly what to do and when to do it.
And if you do this every Sunday, by the end of Q1 you’ll have made more progress than most people make all year.
